The impressive town wall with its remaining 16 peel towers, the Werner Chapel and St. Mary’s Church are a testimony of times. Oberwesel is indeed worth seeing.

Take the freeway A 61 exit Laudert to Damscheid, from there in direction of Oberwesel, or, via highway B 9 to Oberwesel, and then 2 km in direction of Damscheid.

Locaded on top of the Rhine hills, above the picturesque wine city Oberwesel, you will find the Rheingoldschenke – a place of splendid isolation. Zum Rhein-Burgen-Wanderweg sind es ca. 1 km, zum Rheinsteig ca. 5 km.
